The William Kelly & Sons Group Of Companies are fully licensed, insured, and bondable general mechanical contractors that provide a full range of mechanical contracting services – including specification work and design-assist – to the commercial, light industrial, and government markets.

Providing over 40 years of service, our principals and management team bring to the table over 100 years of experience in the trade. As our business has grown, we have continually expanded our scope of projects, all the while maintaining quality of work and our work ethics.

Our successful projects have included everything from small wood framed residential, to high rise residential, to multi-use complexes, to schools and government projects. We have successfully completed contracts in excess of $40M. We take pride in the fact that all of our jobs have been completed on time in a safe and professional manner.

The company was established in 1972 in Calgary, Alberta, and subsequently expanded into Vancouver, British Columbia in 1989, conducting business in San Diego, California, Fort McMurray, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, WKS continues to expand.

William (Bill) Kelly was the company’s founding father and company namesake. Bill and his wife, Margaret, came to Canada in 1956 and after years of working for others, his entrepreneurial spirit got the better of him and with the help of Margaret, they began operations out of their house in 1972. Through his ability to recognize and seize opportunities, Bill strategically grow the company slowly and deliberately upward and outward.

Bill was a Journeyman Plumber and Gasfitter not only in Canada but also in the UK. He had an extensive and well rounded background in all areas of the business – field and office. His knowledge proved to be an invaluable asset to the company even beyond his retirement as he continued to invest many dedicated years in the company. Having past away in January of 2013, he remains a tremendous part of our history and is sincerely missed.

This allows the company to provide a high level of quality, cost-effective solutions to the customers: on budget, on time, and safely.
